You should have a good knowledge of the different neighborhoods in your area, as well as, the school districts. Finally, you should be a good negotiator. In return, you will get to see some exquisite houses, make some new friends, meet many interesting people and make some good money. To become a real estate agent you only need a high school diploma and good communications skills. Although some real estate agents may have college degrees, most learning will occur on the job. The one requirement that every state has is licensure. To obtain a real estate license you must pass an exam. There are numerous courses offered to help you gain the knowledge to ace this. On passing, you can then join the National Association of Realtors and start you new career. A real estate agent is not all about being a seller. It is about understanding people and wanting to help them. Buying a house will be one of the biggest, if not the biggest, transaction a person will make in a lifetime. You get to help them find this, prepare for it and purchase it. This takes great eagerness, perceptiveness, patience and work.
